Met my wife (a California native), in Long Beach and got an MBA from UCLA. Returned to PA in 1970 & worked for IBM, Olivetti & Univac as a salesman. Finally found a job I liked at Age 37 with Xerox & retired 5 years ago after 25 years. Have married off my 3 daughters and are now enjoying our three grandchildren (and hope to have a few more before it's all over). Can't believe it's been 50 years!

Where do I begin? 50 years is a lot of ground to cover. I was married for 24 years to the father of my three children, Chuck, Jen and JP. He was a shoemaker, then a Philly cop. He wouldn't get shot or run over by a car, so I borrowed money on a life insurance policy, sold my diamond ring and some good 18k jewelry, and moved out, since he wouldn't leave. I stayed in the same school district.
Six months later, I met Jim, who was 10 years younger, and had just gotten out of prison. I guess I wanted to see what it was like on the opposite spectrum. Big mistake, but I was smitten. Was with him 13 years. He turned out to be an alcoholic, gambler, womanizer, iv drug user, thief. I've had black eyes, broken ribs, etc. If he didn't o d, I would have been dead by now. (By the way, he went through money from my mom, divorce settlement, and I went into chapter 13 bankrupcy.)
After he died, I rented my spare bedrooms out. Another big mistake!
It gets better!!! :) I volunteered at Thrift for Aids on South Street. They were closing, and had a party for the volunteers and employees, and that's where I met my stud muffin, Tom. He's the best thing that happened to me!!! I was drawn to his irreverent sense of humor. He's so funny, kind, silly, zany. And he's a chiropractor who's 32 years younger than I! Dig that!
The rest is history. We got married in Sycamore Park, in Lansdowne, wearing tropical-style clothing and we told everyone to dress casually. What fun. My step-daugher, Rose, and my granddaughter, Melanie, were my flower girls. My brother Ed, gave me away. We had our reception at the Lansdowne Methodist church, "the garden church", which we decorated in a tropical theme.

Still doing and enjoying doing many and varied "odd jobs" . . .(whatever I consider legal, moral, safe and fun) to sustain my happily meager income.
I am blest with good health, great family, dear friends and am extremely and eternally grateful for my good fortune (and lack of fortune); i.e., dollars and worry.

Singers Chorale - the symphonic chorus of the Philadelphia Orchestra). Home-maintenance, auto maintenance, and woodworking take up the rest of the time.
My wife, Ginny, and I have been married for 44 years (wait - that can't be; I'm only 50 - yeah, right!!) I'm still working and enjoying it (truthfullness has alway s been a problem for me). I would have enclosed a recent photo, but I'm in the Witless Protection Program.. Send Brent a Message
